If your social worker thinks it a big change but you do not it doesn’t matter. Awful situations need powerful remedies and it should be up to the prospective adopters what that remedy should be without fear that it rock the apple cart

Being expected to put your life on complete hold for an average of 18months is not a frustrating situation. It’s a painful, excruciating and depressing situation and in situations like this it is common to seek distractions, big holiday, home renovation or even getting married. But all of those are looked at as things that need to be reviewed as to whether it is a big changing factor in your life. And the review is does not take into account your opinion.
